    How do I join the Rainbow Rewards Community?

    You can sign up in the store by going to our Customer Service kiosk. Once your information has been entered into our system, your account will be available within a few minutes.

    You can also sign up online. It will take 7 to 10 days before your account will be active due to our needing to manually enter your information into our register system.

    What does Rainbow do with my information?

    We use your information to keep track of any promotions we have for Rewards Community members. We will never sell your personal information. For more, here is our Privacy Policy.

    I signed up online. Why isn't my account active?

    Due to this process requiring some manual entry, it will take 7 to 10 days before your account will be active. We thank you for your patience while we continue to streamline this process. 

    If you haven’t been able to use your account after the tenth day, please reach out here and select “Rewards Community” from the Subject menu. 

    I signed up at Rainbow. Why isn't my account active?

    There may have been an error when entering your information. When next in the store, go to our Customer Service kiosk and ask a worker to verify your information. Your account can be searched by phone number, first name, or last name.

    Rainbow’s GreenBacks e-Coupon Promotion

    What does “GreenBacks” mean?

    GreenBacks is the name of Rainbow Grocery’s latest customer incentive program for our Rewards Community members.

    Customers receive an e-coupon in their customer account, in exchange for the points they have accumulated, based on different tiers.

    When I’ve accrued enough Points by the end of an Earning Period, how do I know that I’ve received a GreenBacks e-Coupon?

    Our system will automatically attach the corresponding e-coupon to your Rewards Community account. If you’ve signed up to receive marketing emails from Rainbow, you will also be sent an email notification.

    What does “Earning Period” mean?

    The Earning Period is each calendar month, during which customers accrue points. At the end of the Earning Period, the points balance is tallied and, if it has passed specific thresholds, a GreenBacks e-Coupon will be issued on the evening of the last day of the month. 

    What does “Award Date” mean?

    The Award Date refers to the date a customer’s Co-op Coins are automatically exchanged, and the corresponding GreenBacks e-Coupon is attached to the customer’s Community account.

    How do I redeem my GreenBacks e-Coupon?

    The customer can ask a Cashier to apply the GreenBacks e-Coupon to their purchase. A pop-up will show up asking the cashier if they want to redeem it or not.

    Does the GreenBacks e-Coupon expire?

    Yes. They have thirty (30) days from the Award Date to use any GreenBacks e-Coupon on their Rewards Community account. 

    I received a GreenBacks e-Coupon notification in my email. Can I give it to someone else?

    No, it’s automatically attached to your Rewards Community account, and the e-coupon is non-transferable

    I’d like to participate in the GreenBacks promotion. Is there anything I need to do?

    You must be a Rewards Community member to be eligible. If you already have an account, you’re automatically participating. If you’d like to sign up for a Rewards Community account, you can do so in-person at our Customer Service kiosk or online here.

    I have Points on my account. How do I know if I have enough to receive a GreenBacks e-Coupon?
    Points will be exchanged for GreenBacks e-Coupons as follows:
    500 Points$5 off $10 or more e-coupon
    1,000 Points$10 off $20 or more e-coupon
    1,500 Points$15 off $30 or more e-coupon
    2,000 Points$20 off $40 or more e-coupon
    2,500 Points$25 off $50 or more e-coupon
    3,000 Points$30 off $60 or more e-coupon
    If I already receive a Rainbow discount (Senior, EBT, Helping Hands, NOBAWC) can I still receive Coins?

    Yes. We allow customers who receive one of our Every Day Discounts to be eligible for the Rewards Community’s promotions. Just inform the Cashier when making a purchase of your qualifications and they will apply the correct discount, if necessary.

    Please note that you will only accrue Points equal to your total purchase after discounts and before taxes are applied.

    How do I know how many Points I have accrued?

    Your points are displayed at the bottom of your receipt.

    Can I transfer my Points?

    No.

    What are Points worth?

    Points are not legal tender and have no cash value.

    Is there a way of receiving Points without a Rewards Community account?

    No. You must have a Rewards Community account to be eligible for the promotion.

    My Points are not showing at the register. What should I do?

    After making a purchase, the register system may take up to five minutes to update your Points balance.

    Is there a way of receiving Points without a purchase?

    Currently, there is no way to receive Points without a purchase.

    What if I forgot to sign in to my Rewards account? Can I still receive the Points from my purchase?

    Unfortunately, due to the volume of transactions, we are unable to add Coins to accounts after a transaction is complete.

    Please make sure to sign in before the transaction is complete in order to receive your Co-op Coins. Double check with the cashier to make sure your account has been properly entered.
